5 Things I Can't Live Without

I got this one off of Holly's blog. And like her, these will probably be more material things instead of essential things. So here they are in no particular order...

1. Disneyland! You all know how crazy I am when it comes to Disney, but it truly is like my second home. Next month we will hit 1 year since we've been to Disneyland. (I know, what a sob story.) But there is such a happiness that comes from that park, and I truly miss it when I am not there.

2. My husband and son Now while they are not necessarily material things, I truly don't know what I would do without them. Alex always fills my day with so much laughter and love. Ryan does the same, but he also understands me more than any other person ever could.

3. Movies The thing I love about movies is you're able to feel like you are experiencing something that you normally never would. You get to go to so many places and see people in different situations and how they cope. Obviously it's not real life, but I think that's most of why it makes it so interesting. I don't know if that makes any sense to anyone else... Oh well.

4. A computer/the Internet I probably spend half of my day on the computer. Part of that it because of my jobs. But I love surfing the Internet at home as well. There is so much information available and so many things you can learn by clicking a button. It truly amazes me at times!

5. My friends and family I have some amazing friends! It is so nice to have people I can call up on a Friday night to hang out with and other friends that I've had for a long time that still want to keep in touch with me and even see me every once in a while. My family is amazing as well. I love having great relationships with my siblings. We haven't always gotten along, but I have grown especially close to my sisters lately and it has been so wonderful to have that bond!

I guess this is one of those tag things, so if anyone feels inclined to write about 5 things they can't live without, please do. It's fun to think about!

I got this off another blog and thought I would give it a try. Not too shabby, if I say so myself.

I had fun! Thanks Amy!

Best Website EVER!!!

So my awesome new co worker told me about the best website. For anyone who loves music and downloads a lot off iTunes or any other site will love me for this. So usually you pay .99 a song or 9.99 for an album, right? Well this wonderful site allows you to download most songs for .10 each or a whole album for .99! I downloaded Jack Johnson, The Fray, Simple Plan, Enchanted Soundtrack, Daughtry, etc. ... a total of 14 albums for less than 14.00!!! It takes them a little while to get new albums (a couple of weeks usually), but it's worth the wait for that price. You probably want the website, huh? It's www.mp3fiesta.com. The girl that showed the site to me said that there was a period of about 3 months where the site was shut down because they were fighting in court as to whether the site was legal. Well, they won so it's been back up for quite a while now. Obviously you don't have to use it, but I'm using it like crazy and wanted to share my good fortune with everyone else. Let me know if you use it and if you like it!

ROCK BAND PARTY!!!

Ok, we had the BEST time tonight playing Rock Band. With very late notice we were able to get six people (nine total with Ryan, Alex and myself) to play games tonight. For those who are not familiar with Rock Band, the game comes with a set of drums, a guitar, and a microphone. You have the option of adding another guitar to play the bass part. Luckily we have some AWESOME friends, Chad and Abbey, who let us borrow one of their guitars so we could have all of the parts. We all took turns on each instrument and had a really wonderful time. Alex even totally kicked butt playing the guitar and bass part. We are looking forward to many more fun nights like this one. We also played our Scene it game for the xbox 360, which was a lot more fun than the Scene it board games (and a lot faster). If anyone ever wants to play, let us know. We are so happy to have people over. Here are a couple pictures and a video of all of us playing.

Well, I am exhausted! It's now 12:33 and I have to work tomorrow :( Have a great night/morning!!!

More pictures of my nephew

I borrowed these off of my brothers web site, since I'm not there to take any pictures of him myself. So here are a couple more pictures of my new nephew Kevin.
He sure has a sweet little smile. I hope I'll get to meet him before he's too old. It always amazes me how different children can look coming from the same parents.
And just a side note, we got an xbox 360 last night along with Rock Band and scene it. I'm trying to get some people over tonight to have a fun little party. We played a little Rock Band last night, and can I just say.... I totally stink at the drums. I have no coordination at all with them. I guess I'll learn.

New Nephew

I was informed this morning that one of my new nephews has been born. His name is Kevin David Titus. He was born at 7:33 am (EST), weighing 6 lbs 13 ounces, and 20 inches long. I have a picture that was sent by cell phone, so it's not the best quality, and it doesn't really show his face much, but I'll post it anyway.
So now we have two more babies in the family to be born. Ryan's brother and his wife will be finding out what they are having at the end of this month. We are all crossing our fingers for a girl since there are 6 boys and no girl grandkids on his side of the family. And of course we are looking forward to Brayden coming in a few months!

Blog music

Oh, and I have had the request from a few people now to turn off the automatic start for our blog music. So I have done that for you. If you want to listen to the music, go to the bottom of the blog and select the song to play. Otherwise, it just won't play anything for you! If there are any other requests, please let me know.

Weekend in St George

We had a great weekend in St George. I am already missing the great weather :( Saturday we threw a baby shower for my sister Hayley. She is having her third child, Brayden, in May or June. I had a little too much fun shopping for her and got her a couple really cute outfits with matching socks, shoes, and a hat. It's always fun to see all the new little baby things, although frustrating too, since all you want is to see the new baby wearing all of the cute, new outfits. But we had a great time!
While the girls were throwing the baby shower, the guys were trying to build a swing set for Hayley's kids. It proved to be a little more difficult than they thought it would be. They ended up finishing it on Monday afternoon, a little bit before we left. The kids were really happy to have it all done so they could play on it.

And we did have some fun competition on Guitar Hero while I was there. We didn't get too serious about it, but it was fun having the 2 guitars so 2 people could play. We are excited they are coming out with the second guitar for the Wii on the 29th of this month. We're still deciding if we are going to get one.

So, that was our weekend in a nutshell. Everyone will be coming up in about a month for Alex's birthday party, but I probably won't get back down there until after Brayden is born, which is really strange to me. But, as usual, I took a lot of pictures while I was down there. So I hope you enjoy them.
All the baby shower presents, before they were opened
This was only a few of the people that came. With very
short notice, we got a lot of people to come
Here are the guys working hard on the swing set very
late into the evening. What great guys!
Some very, very happy kids after everything had been put
together!
I had to post this one just because of the look on Anna's face.
SO CUTE!!!
Mike and Beth competing at Guitar Hero
The kids all had to take a turn at the guitar as well. Alex is
actually getting pretty good

Tyson's first attempt at a song. He did a great job!

We didn't mean to do it, but Alex and Anna matched really well

on Sunday, so I had to get a picture of them looking so cute together

Sorry about the long post, but it always so hard deciding what pictures to use and which to leave out!

Happy Valentines Day!

We had a great day yesterday! Both of us had to work in the morning, but we were both able to get off early, which was wonderful. First we went to our FAVORITE restaurant, Texas Roadhouse! They have the best steak and my personal favorite is their bbq chicken. We are so thrilled, they are building one in the Bountiful area so we won't have to go quite as far to eat there. That could be a good and bad thing :)

After we were full and satisfied, we went downtown to the Gateway to see a movie. We saw Definitely, Maybe. The lead actor, Ryan Reynolds, is honestly our favorite actor. So we will see anything he is in. This movie was truly a very cute movie. At least we thought so. It was funnier than it was romantic, which was actually quite nice. And everyone in the movie did a great job. It's one I would recommend!

So that was our wonderful Valentines day. I am heading down to St. George today. Ryan has to stay home. He couldn't get work off today or Monday. I always hate being without him. But the weekend should be a lot of fun. We're going to throw a baby shower for my sister Hayley and Alex will get to play with his cousins. We'll also be bringing Guitar Hero with us, so we'll get to have some good competition! I'm sure I'll have plenty of pictures to post when I get back. Have a great Presidents day weekend everyone!!

Best Friend Blankey

Alex has recently become very attached to his blanket. He has always loved it, but it's become a little more like an imaginary friend lately (probably because Mom and Dad are boring and he doesn't have any other kids around). So he tells me all the time what his blankey wants and what his blankey is thinking. It's pretty cute actually. So today we were getting ready to go somewhere and he decided blankey needed to get dressed too. So he went into his room and picked out some clothes for blankey to wear and I helped him get him dressed. (Blankey is a "he"... just so you know) Of course I had to take some pictures of this sweet little moment....

Here is blankey dressed and ready to go

We even had to put underwear on him

Alex had to hold him and get a picture

Alex loves his blankey!

The clothing didn't last very long. After about 10 minutes, Alex said blankey was too hot and took all the clothes off of him.

Another Alex video

Boy, I've just been in the blogging mood lately. I found this old video. It was taken about a week before Alex's first birthday. We don't have too many videos from when Alex was a baby, so it's always fun to find one. And just so you know, the reason Ryan keeps saying "touchdown" is because when Alex was a baby we taught him to put his arms up in the air whenever we said touchdown. Obviously he was too interested in other things in this video.

I totally love how Ryan hands him a screwdriver in the video. It just makes me laugh. Hope you enjoyed!

Family Pictures

We have not had family pictures taken since November 2006, so this past weekend we decided to go out and have my dad take some pictures of us. They didn't all turn out great. It was very bright outside, so we were squinting a lot and it was freezing cold. But there were a some cute ones I thought I would post them. When my dad gave me the cd with all the pictures, there were a few from back in Feb 2007 when my siblings kids were here and we got pictures of all of them together. So they are a little older, but it's not very often that we all get together. So there are few pictures of them as well.

You can't tell from the picture, but we are standing in a foot of
snow. We didn't really plan well.... we had tennis shoes on and
couldn't really wear our coats. That's why you are smart and plan
for pictures in the spring time.

Alex, in his cute little suit. I love his dimples!!

All the neices and nephews (for now).
From left Tyson Winslow, Julianna Winslow, Christopher Titus,
Emma Titus and of course Alex Wood

For those who don't know, Tyson and Anna Winslow belong to my sister Hayley and Christopher and Emma belong to my brother Aaron. Both Aaron (his wife) and Hayley are expecting boys this coming year. Aaron and his wife should have theirs in the next month (the baby's name is still not known) and Hayley will have hers around May most likely. His name will be Brayden Alan Winslow. Looks like our family will be overrun with boys.

Seasons of Love

Because Ryan and I love to sing so much, Alex learns songs that most kids his age wouldn't know at all. Like I've mentioned before in the blog, he knows most of the lyrics to White and Nerdy. He also loves to sing The Sweet Escape by Gwen Stephani with me. He loves the Woo hoo, yee hoo part :) It always amazes me how quickly he can pick up on a song. Tonight Ryan and I were watching the first part of Rent where they are singing Seasons of Love. We started singing along to it and Alex did too. After that part we turned the movie off, but Alex was not done singing. He went to the piano and decided he wanted to sing it by himself. So here he is...
